Where I Find My Best Outreach Ideas

3. When you start a new ministry project, do you research how other churches have started similar ministries? I can’t imagine starting any new venture without immersing myself in the latest ideas and resources about that area of ministry (and sometimes revisiting some older ideas, as well).

4. Does your church have a culture of learning, reading and taking in new ideas? We are about to launch into a series on Bible study methods for our whole church. We’re also scanning for resources to recommend to those in our church who want to learn more about faith. I’ve been so surprised by the receptiveness of our church when we recommend resources and provide them with coordinated reading schedules.

We must be able to admit that often the best ideas and resources come from other leaders and other churches. But contextualizing and adapting ideas saves time, avoids mistakes and accelerates mission.
