There’s a Battle Raging

Believers, get in the fight!

There’s a battle raging, behind the veneer of this world. It’s a battle between believers and the forces of darkness for the souls of humanity (2 Tim. 2:26).

We must open our eyes to the battle and get in the fight. Satan has taken far too many of our neighbors, co-workers, classmates, family members and friends as captives. He aims to drag them through hell and, ultimately, to hell, where they will suffer God’s wrath forever (Rev. 20:11–15).

Meanwhile, this crafty Prince of Darkness has distracted far too many Christians with trinkets and toys, so they won’t look up and see the battle raging around them.

Armor Up—And Head Out.

It’s time to look up and see. It’s time to rise up and fight, strapping on the armor Jesus has provided us (Eph. 6:13–20). It’s time to storm the enemy castle and rescue the perishing.

It’s time to do more than just sit in holy huddles and exegete the text. It’s time to execute the mission, the Great Commission. It’s time to scrape from our ears the lies that keep us quiet about Jesus. It’s time to bring the Gospel up to anyone and everyone we can. It’s time to get in the fight!

Fight to the End.

Let the words of William Booth, founder of The Salvation Army, be your battle cry as you fight for the Light:

“While women weep, as they do now, I’ll fight. While little children go hungry, as they do now, I’ll fight. While men go to prison, in and out, in and out, as they do now, I’ll fight. While there is a drunkard left, while there is a poor, lost girl upon the streets, while there remains one dark soul without the light of God, I’ll fight. I’ll fight to the very end!”

Get in the fight today!

Why the Ideal Church Size Debate Is Unhelpful

Church size alone is not an indication of health or unhealth.

Leading With Kindness

Kindness isn’t weakness, it’s the expression of strength from someone who has something to offer. Kindness is not automatic, it’s a gift that you must choose to give.

Evangelism and the Privatization of Faith

Make friends, in your own way, and avoid isolating yourself—be open to show and share the love of God.
