Outreach Magazine Seeks Submissions for 11th Annual Resources of the Year

SAN DIEGO—Outreach magazine is accepting submissions for the 11th annual Outreach Resources of the Year, a celebration of excellence in books and curricula that help churches in the areas of evangelism, apologetics, compassionate service, cross-cultural ministry and much more.

Publishers may submit for consideration books and curricula that were released and available to the public between Nov. 1, 2012, and Oct. 31, 2013. Outreach must receive submissions no later than Nov. 8, 2013, for them to be considered.

Outreach magazine editors will evaluate the submissions and choose which ones to send to independent expert panelists for further consideration. The panelists specializing in specific areas of outreach will then select the best resources, which will be honored as Outreach Resources of the Year in the March/April 2014 issue of Outreach.

Award-winning Outreach magazine offers insights from nationally recognized church leaders, articles examining outreach trends and challenges churches are experiencing, profiles of innovative ideas in use, and practical guides for implementing new outreach efforts. Based in Carlsbad, Calif., and published by Outreach Inc., Outreach has a circulation of 30,000, and a readership of 70,000.

The Timeless Whisper’s Been Here All Along

How to Leverage Existing Ministries for Outreach

“You could launch new outreach ministries without removing any existing ministries, increasing your budget or adding staff.”

Doing Unto Others

Davis maintains that ministry shouldn’t be about serving at church on a Sunday morning, because those people are already saved. Instead, it should be about doing ministry on the mission field and talking to people who are unchurched.
