We wanted to create a memorable and exciting space using advanced technology and a gaming environment that the kids could be a part of. Rather than simply watching the fish, kids would be able to join a gamified experience.
Many churches are housed in rubber-stamp buildings that function in the same ways, regardless of where they’re located. They provide a needed meeting place for the congregation, but may not necessarily contribute to the story in a unique way otherwise.
Selecting a new name that felt current and relevant, both to the modern era and the mission the church embodies, was essential. While the phrase “glad tidings” was once widely known, it has since fallen out of use outside most modern religious communities and organizations.
By its name alone, the church was already primed to lean into its identity, while giving their outbuildings names like The Ridge, The Summit and The Vista kept the motif consistent.
