Show your local military families you support them. Year-round, offer support groups for returning veterans and their families, and for spouses of deployed service members. On Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day, celebrate your community’s returned veterans and those it has lost with events featuring military vehicles, an outdoor memorial wall displaying names of those killed in combat, and a barbecue to celebrate those who returned. Each year, Memorial Day falls on the final Monday in May, and Veterans Day is always November 11.
