Serving at Southland Christian Church

A commitment to service, loving the community and serving the poor attracts and connects people to Southland Christian Church in Lexington, Ky. Here, Senior Pastor Jon Weece tells how simplifying the process of serving gets people involved.

“We try to make service easy, so we have different levels of service. For example, new believers aren’t as apt to want to spend the night on campus helping us feed the homeless people and housing them for the evening, so we ask them to help supply some of the food for the event. By making service accessible, more people have connected to the church.”
