Try This: 4 Halloween Activities

Four special ways to connect with your community this October.

Corn Maze
Work with a local farmer to gain access to a world-class corn maze. Encourage your junior high and high school youth groups to invite friends to a fun, scary and supervised night out.

Pumpkin Carving
Organize a pumpkin-carving contest, including a pumpkin cook-off, a carving demonstration and a pumpkin bake sale.

Family Square Dance
Host an old-fashioned family square dance in a barn or a church area decorated with hay bales. If possible, end with a bonfire and s’mores.

Pumpkin Patch
Transform a large space on your church’s grounds into a pumpkin patch where families can visit, take photos and leave with a free pumpkin. Work with local farmers to purchase pumpkins.
