Church Service Goes to the Dogs

Underwood Hills Presbyterian Church in Omaha, Neb., began attracting the unchurched and dechurched by offering a service tailor-made for their best friends—their dogs.

 

The Thursday-evening “Paws and Prayers” service began in December and has drawn dozens of new people to the small church of less than 100 regular attendees.
