Random Acts of Kindness Build Relationships

A two-year-old congregation in the Atlanta suburb of Covington, Ga., decided earlier this year to engage its community through random acts of kindness for 40 days.

Grove Pointe Church attendees paid for groceries and fast-food for strangers in lines behind them, provided meals for the elderly, gave flowers to medical staff in town and took several other simple steps to build relationships with people in the area.
