Offer free car washes in the summer. This is an effective, practical service. Have a professionally made banner or sign that says “Totally Free Car Wash!” or “Free—No Kidding—Car Wash!” Have a few extroverted, friendly people cheerfully yell at cars driving by, “Free Car Wash!” Then do just as good a job as you would if you were charging. You’re sure to win some new fans of your church this way.
