Besides Sunday services, the center also provides a weekday program for young adults featuring recreational and leisure classes.

Nothing we do is new or remembered, but amazingly enough, we have all been given some work to do today, a purpose and a task. Life is full of unhappy business, but did we enjoy a cup of coffee this morning or a sandwich for lunch? How lovely. We can find enjoyment today, even in this sin-cursed world under the sun.

Guests do not want to search for basic information. They want it quick and fast. Look at your website and social media pages as if you were a guest. Have selected ages within your church go to these sites and provide honest and open feedback.

Besides classes, each Pivot student gets a volunteer mentor who offers guidance and accountability. Students also participate in a Bible study led by church volunteers.

Be specific about what God is showing you. Does the vision mean fine-tuning your church’s youth ministry, growing your outreach department, building up leaders within the ministry, or growing your church's deeper understanding of God’s Word?

When someone stands up at church and says, “God told me …,” we imagine that to say something with such certainty means they’ve been let in on the secret of getting God to speak to them in obvious ways. But more often than not, it’s this Eucharistic voice they’re expressing.

Among young people ages 18-29, one in three say they go to church less than they did pre-pandemic. Before COVID, 30% of adults under the age of 30 did not attend religious services. By the Spring of 2022, that had risen to 43%.

With limited financial and volunteer resources, I needed to fill a critical role on my leadership team.
