Seoul 2024: The Fourth Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization

Michael Oh, the Lausanne Movement’s global executive director/CEO, announced that the Fourth Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization will be held in Seoul, South Korea, in September 2024.

The Lausanne Movement, as the historic convener and trusted platform for global mission, will bring together thousands of key global mission influencers from every nation on earth for the Fourth Lausanne Congress. These will include men and women from across the body of Christ, serving God’s mission in multiple contexts. Through the process of listening and convening, we will call the church to collaborative action for the sake of the kingdom of God.

The Seoul 2024 congress will also mark the 50th anniversary of the Lausanne Movement, which began in 1974 with Billy Graham gathering together 2,700 Christian leaders from 150 countries in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since then, Lausanne has convened two further congresses in Manila (1989) and Cape Town (2010).

The host committee is chaired by Rev Jaehoon Lee, chair of Korea Lausanne and pastor of Onnuri Community Church based in Seoul. Seoul 2024 will be a celebration of the gospel and our loving, forgiving, and gracious God who has invited us to join his mission in the world. Oh concluded, “We simply want to be faithful in how we are called to live in and love the world in our generation.”
