What is repentance? Repentance is about faith. Thats important to note because rarely, if ever, do we feel like repenting. We dont; we feel like sinning.

The Christian finds courage not from some inner reservoir; we find Christian courage from God when we know the God of the universe.
No matter what happens in this life, no matter what job we lose, no matter what relationship ends, no matter how many people turn their back on us, we are not forgotten. Jesus has taken up our case.
Though we might still have questions about the days in which we live, of these things there is no doubt. The cross brings clarity and helps make them clear if we will survey it, again and again.
We will absolutely grow spiritually when we read the Bible in a year because this is the inspired Word of God. And the Spirit of God is faithful to use the Word of God to transform the people of God.
There is need here. There is desire here. There is even pain here. We are thirsty, hungry, and unsatisfied. But according to the prophet, we might well look to temporary alleviation of that thirst, hunger, and dissatisfaction instead of going through the full diagnostic process to find the true source of hunger and thirst.
Perhaps that’s why, throughout the history of Christianity, one of the greatest tools for teaching theology has been music. After all, one of the earliest Christian hymns is the great Christological passage of Philippians 2.
Friends, these are not “magic bullets.” But they are statements of truth.
The backstory of those two words is one of pain and tragedy.
