Carpenter's Project Provides Needed Home Repairs

Almost 50 homes in Ellwood City, Pa., received facelifts this summer thanks to the efforts of 250 volunteers who performed free home repairs in the community through the ecumenical, nonprofit Carpenter’s Project.

 

The Carpenter’s Project began eight years ago as a ministry of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City, but it has grown to attract volunteers of different ages, religious backgrounds and locations, including some from New Jersey and Ohio.
