Meet the Need

Meet the Need

Website: MeettheNeed.org
Launched: 2011
Cost: Free

Unites and mobilizes the body of Christ to serve by empowering each individual church and ministry with a shared platform for communicating and managing volunteers, resources, partnerships, events and mission trips, making it easy and seamless for individuals to sign up for specific commitments through their church’s website.

Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, Fla., posts all of its outreach opportunities online through the behind-the-scenes operations of Meet the Need. When an area ministry needs volunteers, the need shows up on the ministry’s site and Calvary’s website (in addition to other churches in the area). Not only does the software make it easy for Calvary volunteers to learn about and sign up for opportunities to serve locally and globally, Calvary’s volunteer organizers save time on registration and getting the word out about projects and events.
