I have been a new kid in school. I spoke funny (Yankee in the deep south). I was short, the shortest kid in the 7th grade. And I was outspoken. All of these combine to make the new kid a problem for the rest of the class to welcome in. I’m thankful for those who did it.

Which father do you think will produce more well-behaved children? As these children grow into adults, which group will be more likely to struggle with broken relationships, need endless hours of therapy, and endure pain-filled lives?

The Puritans have been stereotyped as legalistic and impersonal and believing in an impersonal God, but in many hours of reading them I believe nothing could be further from the truth!

During the pandemic, Lyberg visited local members in the hospital using FaceTime, and he can do the same thing with members who live in other places.

Christianity is unique in its perspective of our desires, teaching that they will be sanctified and fulfilled on the New Earth.

I venture to say that no one who has been redeemed–loved, saved, forgiven, cleansed, purified, called, indwelt, and Heaven-bound–would intentionally dishonor the Lord Jesus and insult Him on purpose.

Yet some people go out of their way to mock God and take His name in vain. They go out of their way to insult Christians. They think it’s all a big joke.

Every definition and synonym cited for blessed relates to holiness. Virtually nothing relates to happiness, though a few dictionaries acknowledge that it once meant “happy.”
