So, pastor, you found the going to be tough, some of the leaders resistant, and a few members to be criminal in their behavior? You grew tired of fighting them and fed up with the way they treated you?

When we put our pride aside and truly value those around us and who we work with, we are able to then respect what each person brings to our team.

We need to encourage people to ask more questions.

Life outside church involvement is full. The fun stuff is a compelling draw; family is a top priority, and work is a demanding reality. We don’t need to compete, but we need to be present, meet needs and serve well.

Hope is a beautiful byproduct of faithful practice in the present.

What it takes to start and sustain a church planting movement.

Partly because they are more outgoing, I believe extroverted pastors will get the benefit of the doubt—more so than introverted pastors. Many have tackled the subject of how introverts can overcome weaknesses, but I haven’t noticed as much written about extroverted pastors.

I’ve studied many worldviews, but none comes close to the biblical worldview in accounting for all the facts of our existence—including our longing for happiness.
