What are you passionate about? That is what you will live for. Some people are enduring life instead of enjoying it. Their favorite day of the week is someday: “Someday it will get better.”

It’s not the wanting that corrupts us. What corrupts us is the wanting that’s misplaced, set on the wrong thing.

What is interesting about the most viral verses being tweeted, hashtagged, shared, favorited, bookmarked or highlighted – whether through Bible Gateway, YouVersion, or any other source – is that the reason they went viral had little to do with the actual meaning of the verse itself.

A Christian who is secure in their faith will willingly, and joyfully, serve without recognition. Indeed, they will seek to do so and will rejoice that God sees and takes notice of what is done in secret.

When Jesus Christ is who he ought to be in our lives, we won’t be looking for other things to take his place. We won’t be looking for sin to fill the void in our lives, because we’ll be satisfied in our relationship with him.

The Gospel is such good news! We are saved forever! and shall not come into condemnation but have passed from death to life (see John 5:24).

Shakoour described feeling like a black hole within him was opening up. He felt a strong urge to call out to God.

Little things mean a lot.
