Missional engagement is intentional preparation and serving of community needs. In this case, the community is the local church. The need is to help facilitate providing a meal for a family in need.

As one of our grandsons sat beside her, listening to her struggling to speak and to me reading powerful words from her journals, he said, “Grams, if you can trust God in this, I know I can trust Him in whatever I’ll go through.” Another grandson told her, “I will never forget what you said to us today.”

Whether I’m working with a church plant of 40 people or a mega-church of over 35,000, some things are universal and should be present regardless of church size.

I’ve watched people in organizations – in government, business, nonprofits, and, sadly, far too often in the church — some leaders (people) simply stay too long. Leader, leave before you have to leave.

Christians split between those who don’t believe this is the end times (49%) and those who do (47%), including 20% who believe Jesus will return after global circumstances worsen.

It’s the young minister who is more likely to try to brave it out alone. It’s the young pastor who is more prone to end up a victim instead of a victor.

We are prone to seek greatness for our own sake rather than to glorify God in it. If we try to pretend like all of our motives are pure, then we’ll never be able to address the inconsistencies in us.

Digital ministry uses digital platforms to reach, connect, serve and empower others with the Good news of Jesus and his people. It is not merely a broadcast of your services. It is the infusion and administering of community, devotion, and mission.
