What makes you capable of extraordinary things is not extraordinary gifts, but an extraordinary willingness to be used by God.

We will absolutely grow spiritually when we read the Bible because this is the inspired Word of God. And the Spirit of God is faithful to use the Word of God to transform the people of God.

We teach our children through our words and our actions. Consistently and intentionally practicing spiritual rhythms within community and across generations matters (Deut. 6:1–2, 31:9–13).

What might God have in store for you as you pursue him this year? I received three special gifts while writing for this project, and it makes me wonder: What surprises await you?

I will not talk about my prayer life to make me look more spiritual. My prayer life has a long way to go. If I hint in any way that I am some super saint with an unmatched prayer life, I am lying.

God’s mercies are new every morning, and great is His faithfulness (Lam 3:22-23). That means each day is a new day and each year is a new year. His mercies await you this day, and He will be faithful to you.

How to obey one of Jesus' most difficult commands

There is need here. There is desire here. There is even pain here. We are thirsty, hungry, and unsatisfied. But according to the prophet, we might well look to temporary alleviation of that thirst, hunger, and dissatisfaction instead of going through the full diagnostic process.
