The point I’m trying to make is that reading the Scriptures with nonbelievers is amazing. It grows you. It gives you an opportunity to speak about Christ. Will they all come to faith? No. But our desire is to be faithful to share. We can’t guarantee their conversion, but we want to share and we leave the rest to the Lord. I trust that God can send another Christian someday to pick up where I left off. So I think that I was faithful to answer her questions and to show her the truth of Scripture, and now it’s up to the Lord to do what he will with her heart and her soul.

Join Sharonda Cooper and many other dynamic Christian leaders at this year’s Amplify Conference, October 20–21 at Wheaton College, and learn to lead with gospel clarity, live authentically, and multiply faithfully in the real challenges of ministry today.
