A Creative Easter Gospel Presentation

Desiring to help bring the Bible to life last Easter in a fun and innovative way, the children’s ministry at Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville, Texas, came up with a creative Easter gospel presentation idea: a gospel-centered escape room that was a big hit. To progress through the escape room, families had to read selected Scripture passages together and solve clues as they embarked on an interactive experience that ultimately led them to find Jesus.

Although this was the first time Kellee Parish, Trinity Baptist’s minister of children, and her team had put together an event like this, they are always on the lookout for new ways to reach people with the gospel.

Easter Story Family Escape Room

“It was very family-oriented,” Parish says of The Easter Story Family Escape Room. Both kids and their parents had a great time. It was a beautiful picture seeing families reading the Scriptures together, seeing them put all the clues together and discovering how the gospel is laid out. As families walked through each room, they discovered the gospel story in its entirety. That was our main goal—to present the complete picture of the gospel story to them.

Imagine attempting to lead without strength, without guidance, and without defense. Personally, I would consider it both terrifying and utterly futile.
