Try This: Hold a Pumpkin Chunkin’ Fundraiser

Let community residents see how far they can throw a pumpkin, and raise money for a good cause in the process. Columbiana United Methodist Church in Columbiana, Ala., engaged crowds at the city’s annual “Monster Walk.” More than 50 people of all ages bought a pumpkin for $3.50 (or three for $10) to throw as far as possible. Proceeds went to Columbiana’s youth group, but you can donate the money raised to the cause of your choice.
