A 2013 OUTREACH 100 CHURCH
#2 FASTEST-GROWING, #4 LARGEST

Kids in South Carolina, Cuba and the U.K. attend Sunday school together every week.

No, they aren’t hopping international flights. Instead, their churches are using the same curriculum, designed by NewSpring Church of Anderson, S.C., and available for free download at the church’s website. Hundreds of resources are available at the site for everything from all-church events to adult Bible studies to volunteer training. For free.

“When we started 13 years ago with 15 people, we wanted to do ministry, but everything had a humongous price tag, and we remembered how that felt,” Senior Pastor Perry Noble says. “We decided now that we’ve been blessed as a church to bless other churches and share this material that we’re already developing for our own use.”

Noble was especially delighted to hear about the Cuba church that is sponsored by a couple at NewSpring. Not only does the Cuban church download the children’s materials, but they translate every word into Spanish.

“Generosity and the heart of Jesus go hand in hand, and we wanted to be as generous as possible,” Noble says.

There’s No Contradiction Between God’s Empowerment and Our Efforts to Battle Sin

The Christian life is not a choice between loving and trusting Jesus, and making an effort to avoid temptation and sin. It is not either/or—it is both/and.
