Church of the Highlands: No. 5 Fastest-Growing Church, 2016

“Success for us is when people move from where they are to the place God intends for them to be,” says Chris Hodges, senior pastor of Church of the Highlands. “We help make this happen by providing a clear path for people to know God personally, find freedom from the past, discover their unique purpose in life and then do something that makes a difference.”

Church of the Highlands’ local missions efforts are primarily focused in two areas. First, they are building “dream centers” in each of the communities where the church has campuses. These outreach hubs serve as rallying points for all types of community outreach and service. In some locations they also provide full medical and dental care, which also opens opportunities to administer spiritual care. Secondly, they minister to men and women in Alabama Department of Corrections facilities, bringing church to inmates on Sundays and small groups during the week.
