Red Rocks Church: No. 4 Fastest-Growing Church, 2016

Red Rocks Church began on January 9, 2005, with just over 100 people in attendance on opening day. Since that time, the church has seen Christ continue to build this church in more ways than the congregations ever asked or imagined. Red Rocks has consistently been used by God to reach the lost, and has appealed to many who are successful, yet hurting; educated, yet confused; and put together, yet broken. “Our purpose,” they say, “is to ‘make heaven more crowded’ by being the front porch for prodigals to come home.”

“We often sit back and just realize that we have all had a front-row seat to see Christ build his church,” says Senior Pastor Shawn Johnson. “We work hard on creating a church for God to get credit and glory. We love and nurture unity in our leadership and church body because we have experienced God’s favor and blessing as a result. We highly value prayer and reliance upon the Holy Spirit for direction. And, we are unapologetically laser-focused on reaching the lost in the Denver metro area and beyond.”
