Revering God
Zondervan Reflective, 2024
By Thaddeus J. Williams

WHO: Thaddeus J. Williams, associate professor of theology at Biola University.

HE SAYS: “Human beings are designed for awe, captured in the frequent biblical command to have yirah—awe, fear, reverence—for our Maker.”

THE BIG IDEA: Deep theology meets real life.

THE PROGRESSION: In 30 chapters, the author draws from church history, science, philosophy, literature, cinema, art, music and Scripture to help readers embrace the God of the Bible, understand his attributes, and marvel at our Maker.

“Let us revere him as Lord over our minds, our feelings, our actions, our relationships, our morals, our imaginations–all of us.”
